What the figures on this site are, what they are not, and what you may do with the template that produces them.

The figures are arithmetic, not a quotation
Every number on this site is the output of a published model run on numbers you supplied or on defaults chosen to be realistic. It is arithmetic, and the arithmetic is stated in the open on the quantity page rather than hidden.
It is not a quotation, an offer, a valuation, or professional advice of any kind. No supplier has agreed to any price shown here, and nothing here creates an obligation on anyone.
What the model cannot see
The model prices the quotation as typed. It cannot see a supplier renegotiating a tier, a tooling charge amortised across several customers’ orders, or a minimum order quantity that is really a scheduling preference rather than a cost.
It charges duty on cost of goods before freight, which prices an FOB shipment. A buyer on a different incoterm is on a different number, and the landed page explains why. Scrap is treated as yield loss on units produced rather than on units shipped.
Use it to ask a supplier better questions. Do not use it as the basis of a purchase order without confirming the figures with that supplier in writing.
Outside sources
Where this site quotes tooling bands, piece prices or worked examples from published industry sources, those sources are named on the page that uses them. Their figures are theirs, quoted as published, and they may be out of date by the time you read this.
Where a source documents that a practice exists but does not say how often it happens, this site says the practice exists and does not claim a frequency.
Using the template
If you bought this template you may use it for your own site or a client’s, change anything in it, and publish the result. What you may not do is resell or redistribute the template itself, as a template, modified or otherwise.
The calculator source is yours to edit. If you change the model, change the sentences on the page that describe it: a page whose prose no longer matches its own arithmetic is worse than one with no arithmetic at all.
Liability
This site is provided as it is. Nobody accepts liability for a commercial decision taken on the strength of a figure computed here, which is why the point above about confirming with a supplier is the important one on this page.

Replace this page with terms that describe your own business before you publish. The two sections worth keeping in some form are the one about the figures not being a quotation and the one about what the model cannot see: both protect you, and both stay true however you restyle the site.
